what to do if a pipe breaks

As we are all aware it is really cold outside. In a past post I have given some suggestions about how to reduce the risk of pipes freezing and breaking, but pipes still can freeze on you. So what do you do if a pipe breaks and water is spraying everywhere. The best thing to do is go straight to your main water shut off valve in your home and turn it off. (If you don;t know where this valve is you should locate it today, if you need help we are glad to assist you).  Once the water is shut off you can determine exactly where the break is. Then give us a call at 952.898.4055 we will ask a few questions and then we will be on our way to remove the water from your home, we will also call our plumber if you would like to fix the broken pipe for you. During this time you can be removing books or paper from the area the water is located and wipe off any leather or wood work that has water on it to avoid water staining. If you have any questions about water damage a trained technician is available for you 24 hours a day at 952.898.4055.

Trauma Scene Clean Up

Sometimes our jobs here can get tough to do, today was one of those days. We had a call come in and it was for a clean up after someone had passed away. Although these jobs can be emotionally trying the family and others have so much more the cope with we feel blessed that we are able to perform these services with the highest level of professionalism and with compassion so the family doesn’t have to. What we do is completely clean and sanitize all affected areas and remove other affected areas that cannot be cleaned. While doing this we must take precautions to ensure the safety of anyone on the job site.
